On the 16th of November, Imint had the great honor to be invited to this year’s Xiaomi key suppliers conference. Among hundreds of other established suppliers attending, Vidhance was awarded the prize “New Innovation, New Journey”.
Why were we invited in the first place? In the beginning of 2018 Imint entered a new partnership with Xiaomi – the currently fourth largest smartphone manufacturer in the world. The cooperation involves delivering, customizing and calibrating our video stabilization software Vidhance, aligning the platform with Xiaomi’s camera technology for smartphones, such as the Qualcomm 845.
34,3 million smartphones delivered worldwide in Q3 2018
Since day one Imint has worked very closely with the Xiaomi team, our engineers have operated on site with joint projects and support in Sweden, China and San Diego. Vidhance technology was included in a large part of the smartphones that Xiaomi produced this year and will be integrated in many upcoming releases.
During the conference Xiaomi presented their business strategy ahead, overall objectives, year milestones and a showcase of ecosystem partners. Introducing a plan for continuing growth, distributing more units worldwide and taking further market shares in Europe and North America.
Vidhance – best “New Innovation, New Journey”
A future that undoubtedly will feature Imint and Vidhance. In competition with hundreds of other suppliers Vidhance was named as the best innovation among new ventures. The “New Innovation, New Journey” award states an even deeper partnership in the future between Imint and Xiaomi! Something that makes us even prouder is the fact that the prize was based on independent DxO Mark benchmark testing.
“We started a partnership with Imint at the beginning of 2018. With this deep cooperation, Xiaomi could always lead the market with cutting edge technology in the camera domain. Xiaomi launched Qualcomm 845 smartphones on the market with Vidhance Video Stabilization successfully integrated. I am strongly looking forward to more innovations with Imint in 2019 to grow the partnership even deeper!”
